Relationship with Jesus
Scripture: Psalm 72:18 (NRSV) “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.”
Devotion: We are about to celebrate the birth of our Savior, who revealed God’s wondrous things through Jesus. He has shown me how to overcome sin and have a devoted relationship with a person. He was born in a stable and overcame the power of sin and death to redeem me (us). When I realized that He was what I needed to have peace and truth in my life, my relationship with the Lord has helped me be a better person, husband, father, and now a better grandfather.
My thoughts for you during this Advent season would be that it helps you recognize God’s wondrous acts in your life through a relationship with Jesus, the prince of peace.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your wondrous deeds in my life and with all of your creation. May I (we) recognize the peace that goes with understanding the relationship with you. Amen!
