Love That Never Ends
Scripture: Psalms 92:1-2 (NRSV) “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night.”
Devotion: When I think about this verse, it reminds me that prayer must start with giving thanks to the Lord, and when we give Him thanks, we can recognize all the blessings He has given us.
He gave me a set of parents who loved me and cared for me during those growing years into manhood. I met a young girl that became my wife that taught me how to live in the presence of our Lord. She taught me that our relationship grew through our struggles, but my personal relationship with our Lord also grew. Our children came into our lives and gave me a new perspective on how the Lord looks on me as His child and the challenges He had teaching me what agape love and His grace He gave to me and how to share it with others was the eternal blessings for all His disciples. When you realize there are more days behind you than ahead, special freedom is given to you, but I have learned that giving thanks to the Lord and singing praises to Him never change. His steadfast love for each of us eternally will never change.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your love that never ends, and help me (us) show your love to others. Amen!
