Lenten Devotionals

Dear Church,

Let’s do this Lenten journey thing together. And what better way to do so than with a daily devotional written by our friends. We will share our stories and tell how Jesus has been at work in our lives.

I am thankful that some of you participated in the Advent devotional booklet. This time around, there are more days, 40 to be exact; we will need more participants. The devotional will be similar to the Upper Room; the main difference, it’s your story, reflection, and prayer. It will be published in a small booklet and distributed to our members and visitors. The devotions will also be available online. There is no specific theme but Lent.

To allow time for proofreading, editing, formatting, and publishing, please send me your devotional(s) by Thursday, February 9. However, you can write it immediately. Please send it to me as soon as you have it available. You may also handwrite your devotion. If you need help with a Scripture or want to write for a specific day, click here for the UMC Discipleship website that will give you the lectionary text options for each week. However, you can freely choose Scripture based on your shared story and devotion.

The requested format/guideline is below.

Your Name
Title of Devotional
Scripture:
 Scripture verse(s) and Bible version
Devotional: Word Limit: 200-350 words (with/without the Scripture text).
Font: Times New Roman, 12 points.

Thank you again for considering sharing a devotional with your church family. If you have any questions, let me know.

Please send all devotionals to the following:
