Walking

Here is a summary of our message from Sunday based on Luke 24:13-35. The passage is about two disciples of Jesus walking to the village of Emmaus on the day of Jesus’ resurrection. They feel sad, defeated, and discouraged, but they meet Jesus along the way. They don’t recognize him at first, but when he breaks bread with them, their eyes are opened, and they realize who he is.

This story reminds us that Jesus is always with us, even when we don’t recognize him. We may be walking through a difficult time in our lives like dealing with a health issue or grieving loss, but Jesus is walking with us. He may not always be visible to us, but he is always there reminding us about the promises of God.
