The Lord Is My Shepherd

Scripture: Psalm 23:1 (NIV) The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Devotion: We are all human and have needs. This psalm loves every area of your life. This psalm states the Lord is our shepherd, and we will lack nothing. He leads us by still waters, which are peacefulness and serenity. Some days we find ourselves not up to par and a little down, but He restores our souls and leads us on the path of righteousness. When we walk through the valleys of life, which are our trials and tribulations, we walk without fear because God is with us. He will set a Table before our enemies. That means our enemies will be happy with us. Then he anoints me with oil to overflowing. That’s his presence. Then this shall happen: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!! Wow! Don’t we serve an awesome God!!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for shepherding our lives. Amen.
